Ingredients

Milk : 4 litres (thick milk)
Raw rice : 1 cup
Sugar : 300 - 500 gm
Cardamom powder : if needed
Plantain leaf : 5 or 6 (medium size)

Method

Soak rice for 2 hrs and grind.
To this, add  pinch of salt, 2-3 spoons of coconut oil.
It should have the consistency of dosa batter.
Boil milk till it reduces to half of the original volume.

Spread batter on  plantain leaf, roll it and tie it with plantain fibre and cook it in idli mould.
We can prepare 10 - 12 adais from this batter.
Steam it for 10 minutes and remove from stove.
Place the rolls in cold water.
After sometime, we can easily peel the adais.
Cut these into small pieces.
Add these pieces to milk.
Add sugar, mix well.
If needed Cardamom powder can be added.
